[We are the Foolish Couple, Andy and Minna, founders of the Foco Academy. We focus on mentoring and teaching the Success Principles and how to apply the principles to the 3 areas of life that money can’t buy: Health, Time, and Love Relationship.]

[This is a follow-up to Part 1 of our blog series – The Matrix: Personal Development 101]

So, did you go back and watch Matrix part 1? If you were Neo, would you choose the blue pill or the red pill? Have you thought about what kind of ‘programming’ you’ve had in your mind that’s preventing you from moving on? Are they anchors that’s preventing you from moving forward, or are they engines that drives you towards your goal?

Awareness is the first step to personal development. Before you can develop, you must first know what areas you need to work on.

But, just in case that you are debating between the blue and red pill, I have one word for you: Entropy.

Entropy means a lack of order or predictability, and a graduate decline into disorder. It is a scientific term referring mainly to thermodynamics, but it is applicable to your life as well.

What it means is this. If you are not constantly working on something, then you are declining into chaos and disorder.

You cannot do one killer workout routine and stay in shape for the rest of your life.

You cannot make 1 savings into your bank account and be financially set for life.

You cannot go to work for 1 day and work your butt off, and keep your job for the rest of your life.

Things just don’t work that way. You have to keep eating, drinking, exercising, working, investing, saving. And when you don’t maintain these actions, you fall into disorder.

We’ve certainly hit this concept in our finances. We got too comfortable with where we are, made some bad investment decisions, and boom, we’re back to square one. It was emotionally difficult to accept the fact that all our years of hard work fell into the drain, but history tells us that, we’ve done it, and we can do it again.

We just have to be conscious about where we are, keep developing ourselves, and keep on moving forward.

Think about chronic diseases, such as diabetes or Alzheimer’s. Chronic diseases don’t just ‘happen’ to us. It is from years and years of neglect, eating bad foods, not taking care of our bodies, not listening to the yellow lights, that we fell into chronic diseases.

Entropy is about constant movement to prevent us from falling behind. If we take no action, if we chose the blue pill, eventually the law of entropy kicks in.

If you choose the red pill. You will open your world to the real truth, a world without programming.

Are you ready for the red pill? Let us know what you expect to see and experience when you take the red pill in the comments below.
