Symptoms of Cellular Inflammation and how to fight it

A few days ago, I talked about chronic inflammation, specifically cellular inflammation, which is inflammation on the cellular level. I talked about the three biggest culprits that is causing cellular inflammation today, they are heavy metals, such as lead and mercury, and the toxic chemicals that amplifies cellular damage, which is Glyphosate, and Glyphosate is everywhere.
Glyphosate is in our soil which trickles down to all our foods, it is also in our main water supply, so not only are we eating Glyphosate, we are drinking it, we take showers with it, we brush our teeth with it. It is also in many of our skin care products and even the food that we feed our cats and dogs are loaded with Glyphosate, which is why our pets are also getting sick. Glyphosate is in many of the baby foods so newborns are already exposed to it from the start that is also why we are seeing children who are getting sick at a much younger age nowadays.
Once the lead, mercury, Glyphosate and other toxins get into our bodies, it stays attached to our cells unless we consciously take steps to remove them from our bodies. Even then, it may take many, many years of conscious effort to really try to remove the heavy metals and toxins out of our bodies. It takes years for these toxins and heavy metals to build up to the point that we’d actually see the damage it causes to our bodies, so it make sense that it will take years to take them out of our bodies as well.
So how do you know if you have cellular inflammation or not? In this episode, I’d talk about some of the symptoms on cellular inflammation and the causes these symptoms. What happens when you have cellular inflammation?
Here are some of the symptoms that you may experience if you have cellular inflammation:
- Weight loss resistance
- Prediabetes or diabetes
- Hormonal imbalance
- Trouble sleeping
- Anxiety issues
- Low energy
- Brain fog
- Chronic pains
Many of the clients that I work with are already working out 3 to 5 days a week and eating a sensible, healthy diet before they started working with me, and yet they were not successful in losing any weight and in some cases are gaining weight. What they are experiencing is called weight loss resistance, and you may have weight loss resistance also if you’ve tried different diets and exercise plans and they don’t seem to work for you.
Here’s the thing. It takes years to build up cellular inflammation until you get to the point that you are actually considered ‘medically sick’. Every year when you go for your check up, you may see that your blood glucose number is slowly climbing up but your doctor probably tells you there is nothing to worry about, until you get to a certain number and they would classify you as diabetic. You may start with a blood glucose number of, let’s just say 90. And your doctor says great, your number looks good. Next time, your number becomes 100, and your doctor says, it’s a little high but nothing to worry about. And then it gets to 110, then 120 and they tell you to eat better and exercise more. How many of you heard that from your doctor, to eat better and exercise more. I bet, that most of you are already eating a healthy diet and exercises 2-3 times a week already. How much better can you eat or how much more do you need to exercise; you notice your doctor never gives you a plan. Then eventually your blood glucose number gets over 126 and all of your sudden your doctor tells you that ‘you have type 2 diabetes.
The thing is, it takes years to build up and you should be able to see the trends. It is much easier to change your lifestyle at an earlier stage rather than when you become full blow diabetic. And if you still choose not to change your lifestyle, well, then, you may take the risk of blindness, heart problems, kidney failure, maybe even having to have your leg cut off because of diabetics.
What about your hormones? You may have hypothyroid or low thyroid (T3) and your doctor may prescribe you with synthetic thyroid hormone, yet it doesn’t help you feel or look any better.
Are you having problems going to sleep or not feeling rested when you sleep?
Maybe you feel anxious or depressed all the time?
Do you seem to have less pep in your step and seem to run out of gas when exercising or doing sports?
Are you having problem remembering peoples’ names, conversations or just get lost in thought a lot?
Do you have chronic pains such as back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia or joint pains? No doctor, physiotherapists, chiropractors or acupuncturists and no amount or drugs or needles seem to fix the pain?
All of these, are symptoms that your body is inflamed. These are all signs of cellular inflammation. Inflammation can cause diabetes, hypothyroid, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, cancer and many other diseases and it all starts in your cells.
Let me give you a cellular inflammation 101 crash course. When toxins enter your body, they are attracted to fat.
Here is your cell, protecting your cell is the cell membrane. Your cell membrane is made up of bilipids or two layers of fat.
You cell has receptors all around the cell membrane, thousands to millions of them. To absorb any minerals, vitamins or hormones, you need a receptor to do so.
For example, if you want to absorb Vit D, you need a receptor to do so.
The same is needed for your hormones such as thyroid (T3) and Insulin (I). When these hormones connect with their receptor, they normally bring message to cell, to the DNA.
DNA will make other hormones your body needs to function properly. When thyroid can pass its message to inside your cell, you feel good, when it can’t, it sucks.
Remember toxins are attracted to fat so they are attracted to that Bilipid cell membrane and they stick to your cell membrane.
This is where all the problems start. When the toxins stick to your cell membrane it causes the cell to be inflamed, in particular the cellular membrane. It blocks your receptors from getting messages inside to the cell. For example your Doctor says you are low in T3, it is not actually because you are low, it is because the inflamed membrane is blocking the T3receptor and preventing your T3 from entering the cell, so even injecting more thyroid hormone will not help you feel better.
This inflamed cellular membrane will also prevent insulin from passing message into your cell and the cell will not know how to regulate glucose causing pre-diabetes that can lead to type 2 diabetes over time.
You have weight lose resistance? Another hormone is Leptin (L), which tells your brain to burn stored fat for energy. Leptin, if it can’t get its message through to the cell, your body won’t know how to burn body fat, despite the diet you are eating or the exercises that you do.
Proper hormone communications are required for sleep and fighting anxiety and depression. Low energy or chronic fatigue is when the inflammation gets so bad, that it passes your cell and gets to the mitochondrial, the powerhouses of our cells that makes ATP, the energy source for our cells. It inflames the mitochondrial cell membrane like your outer cell membrane which lowers cellular energy that leads to lower brain function, chronic fatigue and digestive problems.
Remember our bodies are made up of over 37 trillion cells that make up everything in our body, from our organs, bones to our muscles. So chronic cellular inflammation will cause chronic pains in your back, neck and joint pains and no medicine or external treatment will make them go away.
You need to heal your cell to get well. Cellular inflammation is a real problem that your medical practitioner probably cannot help you with because they aren’t trained that way. At the end of the day, it is up to you to fix your own body. You own your body and you live with your body, so get serious and learn how to fix your body. You can’t depend on someone else to fix it for you. You have to take control. And the best thing you could do to heal your body is to educate yourself.
