DYNN 14 - Are you Experiencing Cloudiness
Dec 13, 2021Hi. I’m Minna, co-founders of Foco Academy, functional health and wellness coaches. As the world starts to wake up to the new normal, a lot has changed so we are also tweaking the focus of our messaging on how to get ahead in this new environmental, this new world. We are still focusing on time, health, and relationships and we are still utilizing the same set of success principles.
The other day, we had a friend that visited us from California. She was a school teacher in California and she told us about these new cloud formations that we never had before. We suspect that these so called 'new clouds' are chem-trails and feel free to google what chem-trails are.
But it reminded me of another story.
Sarah, a super achiever, was strolling along the meadows one day. In front of her was a mountain, and she couldn’t see the top because it was a very cloudy day.
So she thought to herself. I'm going to climb to the top so that I can see beyond the clouds. And so she did. It was a tough climb, and she struggled a lot. But she was determined.
Finally, she made it to the top. There she stood, on top of the mountain, and she could see beyond the clouds. From where she stood, she could see the village on the bottom of the mountain, the steam coming out of the chimneys, children playing outside. But what she didn't feel, was a sense of achievement.
Why did I climb the mountain? What was I looking for? She asked herself.
And then she turned around. Where she stood, it wasn't really the top of the mountain. She was on a plateau.
And behind her, there stood the majestic mountain, the golden sun shining on it, and on the top of the mountain was a golden temple. She could hear the faint bells from the temple.
And that, was her true goal. That was what she was seeking all along.
But it wasn't until she got over the clouds, that she had clarity. She got clarity on what she wants, on where she wants to go, who she wants to be, and how she wants to feel. Everything she wants is in that golden temple. The tranquility, the peace, and her beliefs are all aligned.
The morale of the story is this. We, as high achievers, we often seek to be the best in whatever we do. I know that in my most career-focused days, I was the best in what I do. People come to me for advice. I got sucked into achieving just for the sake of achieving. I didn't know what was the meaning of my work, and I didn't know what it is that I truly wanted.
But then, after a while, I realized that, all that I have achieved meant very little to me. It left me feeling empty, lonely, and unsatisfied. It took a while, and I had to climb a lot of mountains before I finally got past the clouds and got clarity on what I want, how I want to feel everyday, and who I want to be for the people that I care about.
You may also be one of the high achievers who are feeling a little empty inside? That you are not really sure what your work means to you? If you are one of those, I urge you to get on to the waiting list to our Focodaily program.
