<Foco's 2-minute Blogs on Success>

We're pleased to be the recipient of the Best of Newark Award in the Nutrition and Success Coach category 4 years in a row.

To celebrate with our fans, we will be delivering more concise, mini-blogs every weekend that showcases our success blueprint.

The focus of our mini-blogs is on Time and Health, the 2 things that cannot be bought in life.

This week, I was mildly surprised when I went into my meeting room and the attendees were already there, with 2 minutes to spare.

I am always a few minutes early to my meetings, especially the ones that I am hosting, and if I need to set up my laptop to project or to dial into cloud conferencing.

However, I have noticed that most people "choose" to be late. They start their day a few minutes late to work, then a few minutes late to their first meeting, a few more minutes late to their second. Take a few more minutes for lunch and they are now severely late for their afternoon meetings.

Time is money. And if you make others wait for you for 5 minutes, it is costing your company $100 if they invited 5 people. ( assuming $100K per person per year, that's about $50 per hour, or about $4 per minute. 5 minutes cost $20 per person). In other words, every minute counts.

My philosophy is:

As a rule, I would only wait for 5 minutes. If you are more than 5 minutes late, what it is telling me is that

1. you have something else more important to do

2. our meeting is not your priority

And we'd have to reschedule the meeting. If this sounds harsh to you, that is because there are some things that I do not tolerate in life, and neither should you. We'll talk about that next week.

Until next time, love what you live, and live what you love.
